I am a Surgeon with more than 25 years of experience in General Surgery, Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Advanced Surgical Oncology and Emergency and Trauma Surgery. I worked as Tutor for Residents in General Surgery, and in Master Courses of Laparoscopic Surgery. I am the Author of several didactic works, innovative techniques of Laparoscopic Surgery, and reviewer for several scientific journals.

Graduated in 1995 at the University of Milan and trained at the General Surgery of the San Paolo Hospital in Milan, in 2000 I obtained the Board Certification in Emergency Surgery.
From 1994 to 1999 I worked at the Department of General Surgery of the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, dedicating myself to the surgical oncology of the gastrointestinal district in a multidisciplinary team, and I was member of the Scientific Technical Committee in colorectal cancer prevention studies. I also carried out continuous home care activities for incurable cancer patients, working at the VIDAS Association in Milan.
In 1999 I moved to the General Surgery of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, where I specialized in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery with Dr. Lorenzo Novellino, pioneer of Italian Laparoscopic Surgery, participating as Lecturer and Tutor in Master Courses of Minimally Invasive Surgery for Specialists in surgical disciplines.
In 2010 I started the Peritoneal Surface Oncology Surgery Program at the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, becoming the reference specialist for the Gynecology and Obstetrics and Urology Units.
In 2014 I created the Advanced Surgical Oncology Unit of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, and directed it until 2020, devising and promoting innovative laparoscopic techniques in cancer surgery and introducing new Endocrine Surgical Oncology techniques.
At the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo I worked as a Tutor in Emergency Surgery and was a member of the Trauma Team and of the COVID Unit, where I carried out clinical and research activities on abdominal complications of the SARS-CoV2 infection.
Since November 2021 I'm the Lead Clinician of the Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit of the Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan.
