Our Outpatient Clinic provides surgical advice for the following pathologies:

  • peritoneal metastases from Colorectal Cancer
  • peritoneal metastases from Gastric Cancer
  • peritoneal metastases from Ovarian Cancer
  • peritoneal metastases from Cancer of the Appendix
  • Pseudomyxoma Peritonei
  • Mucinous Peritoneal Carcinomatosis
  • Peritoneal Mesothelioma
  • Perforated, abscessed or locally advanced colorectal, gastric and appendiceal tumors, with infiltration of other organs or structures
  • recurrence of colorectal, gastric and appendiceal cancer
  • Peritoneal Carcinomatosis from other neoplasia, for which the Oncologist makes request of surgical evaluation

The clinic is based on the experience of the Advanced and Minimally Invasive Surgical Oncology, for the treatment of Peritoneal Carcinomatosis.

Our consultation and possible surgical treatment will enter the treatment path of the disease (which inevitably also includes different treatments, such as intravenous chemotherapy, biological therapy or radiotherapy), trying to intervene on the harmful effects of the presence of the tumor in the abdominal cavity. To solve it if possible, or to allow people suffering from it to limit its consequences: consequences that often heavily affect their quality of life and almost inevitably force them to interrupt their treatment path.

The surgical treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis consists of two fundamental moments:

laparoscopy enhanced hipec 3d Hyperthermic IntraPEritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), that we will perform by means of the special LE-HIPEC (Laparoscopy-Enhanced HIPEC) technique.

During your consultation, the indications for surgical treatment with the expected benefits and risks will be discussed and shared with you, and any possible management will be carried out. The treatment will be shared in our Multidisciplinary Team with the Medical Oncology Unit, to design your personalized treatment plan.
